Cheryl was very healthy & enjoying life. Without warning, her life changed after her first stroke. Having recovered from that, Cheryl then had another stroke and moved back to Dubbo to be near her daughter and two beautiful grandsons.
Remaining very positive, Cheryl now volunteers with the local Stroke Support Group in Dubbo and cherishes every minute she is able to spend with her family.
It was an easy decision for Cheryl to remember a lovely gift in her Will to not only the Stroke Foundation, but to her other favourite charities. Her family fully supported her decision and Cheryl was surprised about how easy the process was. She encourages anyone who is thinking about doing this to go ahead and do it. She knows that her support of our work will help us continue to provide the support needed for the Stroke Community.
Cheryl talked openly to her family about including a GIW to her favourite charities. Family is so important to her, but Cheryl knows that she can still help the charities that she is passionate about.
Cheryl told us “The reason I chose the National Stroke Foundation to remember in my Will is to ensure that like me, others will also have the good fortune to spend more quality time with their loved ones and enjoy a better recovery.”
