Stroke Rehab From NoTech to GoTech

Stroke Rehab: From No-Tech to Go-Tech will include keynote addresses and panel discussions, covering principles of neuroscience and neural recovery, and multidisciplinary engagement in clinical stroke management. Targeting a broad audience of rehabilitation specialists, engineers and physiologists, content will be easily translatable across disciplines with a focused emphasis on technological applications to clinical practice. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in multiple half-hour clinical tutorials during breaks with hands-on training in specific technologies relevant to their discipline.

Prof John Krakauer (USA) – Rethinking recovery after stroke
Prof Leeanne Carey (Australia) – Capturing learning and activity based neural plasticity through rehabilitation
Prof Peter Langhorne (UK) – Stroke service organisation (Getting the right treatment to the right patient at the right time)
Prof Diane L. Kendall (USA) – Rehabilitation of aphasia
Dr Phoebe Macrae (NZ) – Multidisciplinary stroke research development
Our conference location, the Te Puna o Waiwhetu (Christchurch Art Gallery) is centrally located in beautiful downtown Christchurch, New Zealand. A special Kiwi-style, informal conference dinner will be held on the first night of the conference to give delegates a chance to taste our local cuisine. Picturesque Christchurch offers experiences for all tastes, from golf and hot air ballooning to punting on the Avon River and wine-tasting.
