Louise Grant interview

What does it mean to you to be named a finalist in the Stroke Awards?

I am very happy to be nominated for this award.  I am always looking for ways to inspire hope in other survivors and will take this opportunity to do just that.

Why is supporting stroke survivors important to you?

Living a life after a stroke can be a very daunting and scary time for survivors and their families. I want to provide some hope and inspiration during this time when survivors may feel helpless and scared.  There is definitely hope for a normal life after stroke.

How do you think your contribution has made a difference?

I hope I have created awareness about stroke to my community.

What motivated your efforts to work with the stroke community?

My own stroke has given me many reasons to help.

What is one thing you would like people to know about stroke?

It can happen to anyone, anytime at any age.
