Over 2,400 people participated - the biggest number of registrations in National Stroke Week, with the F.A.S.T. signs of stroke message reaching over 3.16 million Australians throughout the week!

Being "United by Stroke" encourages everyone to recognise the F.A.S.T. signs of stroke and call triple zero (000).

The message is reinforced by people in the stroke community, shared experiences from clinicians, researchers, survivors and members of the community on how knowing and recognising the signs of stroke can save lives.

National Stroke Week provided an opportunity to highlight the connect between the health professionals, general public and stroke survivors in treating stroke.

So many different organisations got involved – ensuring the F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech and Time) message got out there in the community - from Coles Distribution Centres to Royal Flying Doctors Service and Universities.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison even shared the F.A.S.T. message and was the first PM in the history of National Stroke Week to do so.

Inspiring young Tasmanian stroke survivors loved the opportunity to have a personalised poster developed for them.
