    Over 2,400 people participated - the biggest number of registrations in National Stroke Week, with the F.A.S.T. signs of stroke message reaching over 3.16 million Australians throughout the week!

    Being "United by Stroke" encourages everyone to recognise the F.A.S.T. signs of stroke and call triple zero (000).

    The message is reinforced by people in the stroke community, shared experiences from clinicians, researchers, survivors and members of the community on how knowing and recognising the signs of stroke can save lives.

    National Stroke Week provided an opportunity to highlight the connect between the health professionals, general public and stroke survivors in treating stroke.

    Given Covid-19 restrictions, everyone embraced the online resources and the personalised posters:

    Prime Minister Scott Morrison even shared the F.A.S.T. message and was the first PM in the history of National Stroke Week to do so.



    Everyone got creative and had some fun in how they shared the F.A.S.T. message. This one really got us going, check out the hilarious video from Shoalhaven Hospital, NSW below



    Brisbane Boys College raised vital funds for the Paediatric Stroke Project by selling cookies. A huge thanks to Brisbane Boys' College for your support!

     

    Inspiring young Tasmanian stroke survivors loved the opportunity to have a personalised poster developed for them.
