Professional development and quality improvement

The Stroke Foundation acknowledges the importance of professional development and support. The delivery of best practice stroke treatment and care requires specialist knowledge, training and skills.

We prioritise professional development activities related to the Clinical Guidelines for Stroke Management. The Stroke Foundation activities are often based on data from the National Stroke Audit, which reveals gaps in evidence-based practice, and focus on quality improvement.

The Stroke Foundation recognises the importance of events and conferences as professional development opportunities and a way for health professionals to engage with peers. We aim to support health professionals working in stroke by promoting a variety of stroke-related events and conferences.
