The Stroke Foundation Quality Improvement Prize is an annual recognition of achievement and excellence and is awarded for a local quality improvement project.


Eligibility

Abstracts that are submitted to the Smart Strokes 2024 Organising and Scientific committees will be considered for this prize.

To be eligible for the prize, your abstract must demonstrate that your project:

  • Collected data before and after implementation
  • Has a clear aim (related to improvement in clinical practice) and clear quality improvement methodology with clear rationale 
  • Led to improvements in care being delivered at your site, and/or
  • Improved practice at your site according to guidelines or frameworks, and/or
  • Improved your patient outcomes.
  • Was conducted by nurse/s and/or allied health professional/s

 

Prize

  • Early Bird registration for Smart Strokes 2024 (valued at $725)
  • Presentation coaching with Stroke Foundation’s QI Team is available to the winner (if required/desired)

 

This award is funded by Stroke Foundation and the prize recipient will be presented with a certificate at Smart Strokes, by Stroke Foundation CEO, Dr Lisa Murphy.
