MP on hand to check health

RESIDENTS are being encouraged to get a free health check to reduce the risk of suffering from a potentially fatal stroke.
Member for Greenslopes Joe Kelly will conduct the checks as part of National Stroke Week, which runs from September 4-10.
Before he was elected to Parliament, Mr Kelly worked as a nurse in stroke wards and remains an advocate for preventive health programs. You can get a free health check with Mr Kelly on Friday, September 8, from 2.30pm-5pm at 25 Samuel St, Camp Hill.
