The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) is proud to be a long-standing partner of the Stroke Foundation. We’re united in our shared purpose to achieve better health outcomes for all Australians, and the APA is pleased to support the Foundation’s work to raise awareness of the impact of stroke, and of the important role of physiotherapy in the recovery of the many impacted Australians.

The foundation’s tireless advocacy for patients is fully aligned with our own goal of transforming lives. Ipsen recognises the ability of the Stoke Foundation to meaningfully impact the lives of those effected by stroke and have therefore been proud to partner on various projects. A highlight each year are the Stroke Awards where we get to recognise the courageous efforts of stroke survivors either in their own recovery or in support of others.

I had stroke in March 2023 which came as a huge shock to my family and I am fortunate enough to be one of the lucky few who fully recover.   Being able to support the Stroke foundation in their amazing work to raise awareness and supporting fellow stroke survivors was a key driver in founding Loxley financial.

Loxley Financial provide residential homeloan advice to their clients and 10% of the Loxley’s revenue from that homeloan is donated to a charity from Loxley’s panel of charities, one of which is the Stroke Foundation.

Following my critical triple bypass surgery in 2019, which served as a significant wake-up call at the age of 47, I resolved to actively engage in promoting heart health throughout Australia. ​

The Stroke Foundation aligns with Silverline Medical's philosophy of monitoring blood pressure at home to detect potential warning signs requiring medical attention. ​

I’m grateful for the opportunity to work together on initiatives that spruik this message out in pharmacy. ​

Because my warning signs were detected early, I’m able to assist other Australians like me on their health journey and celebrate second chances!​

Having personally had to use the F.A.S.T. acronym to identify a stroke, we know how effective the message can be in saving lives. We hope that Promo Stuff can contribute to furthering that education as well as assisting stroke survivors and their carers on their journey to recovery.
