Stroke Foundation Clinical Council Members Expressions of Interest sought

The Stroke Foundation is seeking to fill two vacancies on its Clinical Council.

Expressions of interest are invited and must be received by 5pm on 6 October 2022.

Stroke Foundation is a national not-for-profit organisation that works with stroke survivors, carers, health professionals, government, and the public to reduce the impact of stroke on the Australian community. Our mission is to Prevent Stroke, Save Lives, Enhance Recovery.

The Clinical Council is a subcommittee of the Board and is responsible for providing advice and clinical input to the Board and the work of Stroke Foundation on: strategy, clinical guidelines, clinical audit, public health and policy documents, Stroke Foundation publications (e.g. fact sheets, brochures), presentations, and publications in peer reviewed journals and questions received from the general public and media.

The group comprises a group of leading stroke clinicians, academics and researchers. Clinical Council members must be from allied health, nursing, medical (acute, rehabilitation and paediatric) professions. These positions are honorary appointments.

Stroke Foundation values diversity and brings together leading clinicians, academics and researchers in the area of stroke. Members are invited to join based on their expertise, availability and willingness to meet the requirements outlined.

Stroke Foundation is a bi-partisan organisation that delivers advocacy activities in line with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) guidelines.
