Thank You. Your support makes an incredible difference in the fight against stroke!

We’ve had a big year here at the Stroke Foundation, and your support has been pivotal to making this happen. With the help of people like yourself we have seen an incredible return to in person fundraising and community support – despite the ongoing challenge of COVID-19. The daily challenges for all those affected, both adults and children alike, inspires us as we fulfil the Stroke Foundation mission to beat stroke.

25 years ago, when Stroke happened, we watched, waited, and hoped for recovery – but today we can prevent stroke, we are saving lives and we are supporting people to recover well. You have continued to play a vital role in ensuring Australians have access to lifesaving stroke treatment and the support and resources to rebuild their lives after stroke!

Here are just some of the ways your support has helped to make a difference in 2021…

Stroke Awards

A daring fundraising campaign, a woman who found peace and purpose in art and a carer determined to improve stroke treatment and rehabilitation for all among the winners of the 2021 Stroke Foundation national Stroke Awards.

124,520 stroke survivors, their families, carers and supporting health professionals accessed 400,612 pages of information on Australia’s largest stroke support group.

Stride 4 Stroke

2021 was the year of a record-breaking Stride4Stroke raising more than $465,000 for Stroke Foundation. Striders raised the bar with more than 1 million moving minutes throughout November.

StrokeSafe talks

More than 10,000 Australians heard lifesaving F.A.S.T. and stroke prevention messages from our 152 trained volunteer StrokeSafe Speakers. The team held 304 talks for the year (49 online 255 face-to-face).

When you donate so generously to our ground-breaking work, you help save lives. Your support helps fund leading research into stroke treatment, prevention and care. In addition, your donations help to keep StrokeLine running, and enables us to get the critical F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech and Time) signs of stroke message out into the community.

Every gift makes a difference to all those impacted by stroke – survivors, carers, family members, researchers and health professionals. Thank you for your compassion and support.
