Access and quality of stroke rehabilitation in Australia: a national prioritisation study

Who it’s for: Survivors of stroke, family members or carers, health professionals
What it involves: Survey
Location: Online (Australia)

Summary

In partnership with the Australian Cardiovascular Alliance (ACvA), Stroke Foundation is seeking your help to understand your perspectives about stroke rehabilitation – how it works now, and how it could be improved in the future.

By sharing your insights, you will help the clinicians and researchers working on this project to develop a robust and inclusive Stroke Rehabilitation Framework that addresses the needs of Australians recovering from stroke and their support people.

The team will use the results to make recommendations about how to make stroke rehabilitation in Australia easier to access and of the highest quality.

Eligibility

If you are any of the following, and you are living in Australia, you are invited to participate:

  • Survivor of stroke
  • Family member or carer/support person for someone who has had a stroke
  • Clinician
  • Policy maker
  • Healthcare manager.

Activity

  • An online prioritisation exercise that will take about 30 minutes.
  • You may consider signing up to take part in an optional interview/discussion about stroke rehabilitation. You will be invited to do so at the end of the survey. If you choose to accept the invitation, the discussion will take about an hour.
