Summary
This University of Adelaide research project is about Micro-X’s Head CT scanner for stroke diagnosis, a miniaturised CT device that is currently under development. The Head CT scanner is being developed to be small enough to fit in a standard ambulance to bring stroke diagnosis and treatment to the patient.
This project explores the views of health professionals to understand opportunities and challenges for introducing Micro-X’s new Head CT device into the Australian healthcare system.
Eligibility
Health professionals including radiographers, paramedics, hospital administrators, and health decision-makers with a background in:
- purchasing or using CT medical devices in Australia; or
- knowledge of Australia’s emergency services or healthcare system, or
- expertise in the commercialisation and sale of medical devices.
Activity
- An online survey that should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.
- The survey asks about stroke care pathways, medical device purchasing and use of CT in the Australian healthcare system, including hospitals, urgent care and emergency services.
