Summary
Researchers at the University of Newcastle and survivors of stroke have teamed up to create a cooking program aimed at building meal preparation confidence after a stroke. This program is designed to support survivors of stroke in planning, preparing, and enjoying simple nutritious meals as part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Your participation is important to tailor the program to the specific needs of survivors of stroke. Plus, you'll receive a $100 gift card to help cover your grocery costs.
Eligibility
- Adults at least 18 years old.
- Experienced stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) between 3 months to 10 years ago.
- Living at home with access to the internet.
- English speaking.
Activity
- A 10-week program that includes three recorded cooking videos (self-paced) and three peer support Zoom sessions (casual pace) with researchers and other survivors of stroke.
- Answering questionnaires related to diet and cooking, before and after the program.
