Every day, another man is changed by stroke.
Around 21,000 Australian men have a stroke each year, that’s 57 blokes a day.
Men are nearly 50% more likely to experience a stroke than women, yet 2 in 5 Aussie men don’t know any of the common F.A.S.T. signs of stroke.
We’re asking all Australians to look out for the Bloke Beside You. Your mate, your dad, your brother, your colleague and start a conversation about stroke.
🚨 Know the FAST signs:
- Face – Is their face drooping?
- Arms – Can they raise both arms?
- Speech – Is their speech slurred?
- Time – Time is critical. Call 000.
Stroke can be sudden and silent, but it doesn’t have to be deadly. If more men recognise the signs and act quickly, more lives will be saved and fewer lives will be permanently changed.
🔹 A simple conversation.
🔹 A shared message amongst Blokes.
It could make all the difference.
📣 Tell the Bloke Beside You.
Because when you do, you help change the impact stroke has on Australia.
